| Ensure the cost effective maintenance service and repairs required to maximize the uninterrupted power generation and water production for the Client’s site and 3rd party customers. |

| Nature & Scope |
| |
| The position reports to the Senior Manager, P&D Maintenance, and has 3 job holders along with the Head of Maintenance Planning & Controls. Each job holder is responsible for mechanical, electrical and instrumentation maintenance of the assigned area. |

| The maintenance group is responsible for servicing, repairing and maintaining all the machinery and equipment associated with the Power Station and Desalination Plant. |
| |
| The Maintenance, Power & Desalination Group is responsible for ensuring that equipment is available to provide the uninterrupted delivery of electrical power, gas, air and water to the Client’s Plant and camp areas, as well as electrical power and water to 3rd party customers. The group is also responsible for the HV distribution and protection system, 132 KV down to 3.3 KV equipment that feeds the plant, dock and camp areas. |

| The Client’s Power Station has 20 Gas Turbine Generators and 6 Steam Turbines.The total capacity of the Gas & Steam Turbines is 1,700 MW.The Client’s site requires 1400 MW which is distributed from the gas turbine generators via a 132, 33 and 11 KV system.The Smelter potlines are supplied from the 132 and 33 KV system and the plant auxiliary supply distributed at 11 KV. |

| The Desalination Plant consists of six multistage flash evaporators, each of 5 MGPD capacity, supplied by ten, 11KV sea water pumps, which also provide cooling water for the combined cycle steam turbine (ST14) and ST(20) and for cooling the site compressed air supply derived from gas turbines GT 15, 16, 17,18, 19 and 20. |

| The Plant has a 30 MGPD capacity and supplies the site and 3rd parties, including the Dubai Water Department. |

| The key accountability of the P & D Maintenance Group is to plan and manage the equipment maintenance downtime so as to ensure the power supply does not fall below that required by the Client’s site and 3rd party customers.Any emergency loss of turbine or utilities generation would immediately affect site and 3rd party production.Maintenance, PM systems and servicing procedures are highly structured through manufacturers' specifications for turbine equipment, international standards for boilers and pressure vessels, hot gas path and combustion inspection systems. Rectifiers and HV distribution systems are subject to closely controlled PM systems.All significant PM overhauls, which could affect production, are planned and managed as major maintenance projects.All best practices and systems are documented under ISO 9002.

He would specifically seek out his boss on supply issues affecting internal and external customers, significant cost variance from budget or a significant safety event. |
