Job Description:

The company will bring on stream an additional 2.5 million t/y of polyolefins under its initiative, the next phase of its expansion plans manufacturing capacity. In addition to enhancing its Borstar® technology-based polypropylene and polyethylene offer, this major expansion to be completed at the end of 2013 will include the production of low density polyethylene (LDPE) production capacity to meet the specific needs of the rapidly growing wire and cable infrastructure market.

Reporting to the Department Manager, you will be part of the Production team and will be responsible for:

• Performs a variety of process engineering duties in the LDPE plant.  Includes monitoring performance of plants and facilities, preparing daily performance summary and recommending corrective actions to deal with abnormalities.
• Prepares studies to develop, test and implement changes in plant operations.  Provides functional assistance to various plant personnel in test-checking alterations, diagnosing process and corrosion problems and preparing technical specifications of operating chemicals and materials.
• Prepares data for new projects and major revamps.
• Prepares instructions and plans for defined maintenance activities.

About you:
As a successful candidate you will have:

• Bachelor Degree in Chemical or Process Control Engineering
• At least 6 years relevant work experience in LDPE / Polyethylene / Polypropylene plants, including 4 years in a Process Engineer position.
• Good knowledge of production and process engineering in an LDPE / PE/PP plant.
• Good knowledge of LDPE Reactor - Autoclave, Tubular
• Familiar with Basell Lupotech Technology
• Ability to speak, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Excellent analytical & leadership skills.
• Excellent team player.
• Proficient in the use of computer, i.e. MS Office, CMMS, etc.
