Organization Profile:
Our client, a US based MNC, is a leading provider of valves, controls and automation instrumentation as well as flow management services such as design, repair and maintenance.
Position Summary:
- Reporting to the Sales Leader - Process ME organization and based in Dubai, the BDM is responsible for the following scope:
In this role BDM will be responsible to sell products, spares and service. The geographic scope of the role is primarily focused on United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia but includes also Kuwait, Egypt and Oman. BDM will need to work closely with the local country Sales Managers, providing leadership and guidance on daily basis in accordance to the existing matrix structure.
Responsibilities:
- Recommend operating sales forecast / profitability plan for the Desalination industry in ME and deliver the plan.
- Total & Product based revenue targets
- Price realization
- SG&A
- Assure effective regional account management for all geographic accounts including supporting a global key account program where applicable.
- Work closely with the Product Management Leaders for Butterfly valves, Pressure Management, Control Valves, Actuation as well as Service to ensure a comprehensive approach that maximizes our strategic brands and builds organic growth for the strategic TFC portfolio of products.
- Establish sales strategy for accounts, channels and geographies; return geography to sales growth
- Provide input to business unit marketing plans, including PR, advertising, literature, web sites, and trade shows
- Provide input to Product Management leaders with respect to new product development, as well as existing product performance expectations (lead times, costs, etc.)
Most Wanted Skills:
- Knowledge of valve products for Desalination & Water treatment plant applications
- Team management / Ability to manage and coordinate virtual teams in complex organization
- Track record in dealing with the major Endusers like ADWEA, SWCC, DEWA etc and Global EPCs
- Knowledge of Middle East Petrochemical market
Expertise:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales of valves (or similar equipment) to the Desalination & Water treatment industry
- Budget ownership and management
- Experience driving change throughout organizations and/or sales forces
- Experience aligning sales organization to meet customer requirements while building internal capabilities
- Identification of sales force capability gaps and implementation of plans to address for sustainable success
- Ability to create and deploy an organizational culture and vision
- The ability to directly and indirectly manage resources towards sales milestones and goals.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills with experience presenting ideas to senior management and customers in intimate and large venues.
- Strong analytic skills - ability to research and analyze market trends and synthesize results into actionable plans.
- Extensive regional travel required
Education
- Engineer + MBA (preferred)
