Action and ideas get Win4Youth 2011 into gear

Kim Clijsters Win4Youth initiative for 2011 will be capturing the energy further to the Barcelona Management Conference where 55 Adecco Spain and Portugal colleagues have already picked up the pace and recorded a 550 km in Valencia.

Win4Youth 2011 Country Coordinator Helene Sarkis, Adecco Middle East is generating a range of ideas for colleagues to get involved. Considering the environment in the Middle East and the danger to cyclist on the busy roads, Adecco Middle East will need to come up with a creative alternative. Watch this Space!

The Valencia cyclist were delegates from all over Spain as well as a few colleagues from Portugal. They represented the different regions, industries and business lines. Cyclists enjoyed the opportunity to wear the especially printed Win4Youth 2011 jackets and took the scenic 10 km route around a large park. Bicycles were hired locally. One of the cyclists, José Fernandez-Freire, Key Account Manager Adecco Airport, said: “Once again, Adecco supports sport and we could do some cycling and enjoy an hour of physical activity in a beautiful environment. We should keep on supporting these initiatives which link sport, companionship and social responsibility.”

Ideas from everywhere
The first round of conference calls with country coordinators generated many ideas for local events. Suggestions include renting a velodrome; organizing a branch-to-branch Adecco tour; a Solidarity Day or Adecco Clubs for trainings on Sunday mornings; renting bikes to do a tour at lunch time; taking advantage of free bike rental schemes organized by environmentally minded town or city councils; engaging a famous local cyclist to join an Adecco event. This year Win4Youth is well publicised throughout the organization and many colleagues are keen to get involved.

Adecco Middle East are looking forward to contributing and supporting Win4Youth 2011 and appreciating achieving new heights.
