Senior Manager- Contracts
Role Summary:
The role holder is responsible for effectively guiding and providing inputs on all matters related to contracts and agreements for all directorates, departments and sections in company, operating areas in multiple jurisdiction. This role will lead, assists in the management of all contractual, commercial matters and meets the organizational requirements as prescribed in the minimum standard, to facilitate smooth operations.
Managerial Responsibility:
  • Participates in the development and implementation of the Contract Affairs department plans, in line with the corporate objectives.
  • Directs and manages the Contract Affairs Department mandates, providing leadership and facilitating work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.
  • Interprets and implements change in the Contract Affairs department providing guidance and support, necessary for continuous improvement.
  • Ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures and quality standards in the Contract Affairs Department.
  • Manage the team members by evaluating their performance providing

Core Responsibilities:
  • Management and preparation of contracts for review during tender processes.
  • Highlight and mitigate risks wherever possible.
  • Ensure compliance to company policies and appropriately documenting all contractual submittals and materials
  • Provide sound contractual advice to all stakeholders
  • Strong focus on resolving contractual receivables and retentions

Contract Management
  • Performs pre-contract activities including drafting/ review of the terms and conditions of contracts and agreements, formulating suitable tendering strategy etc.
  • Advises and provides inputs on relevant issues during the tender evaluation stage
  • Performs post contract administration activities such as evaluation and settlement of claims drafting amendments, interpreting contract terms etc.


Knowledge, Skillset & Abilities:
  • Engineering degree with MBA in Finance and or contracts/ commercial law with 12 to 15 years of relevant experience out of which minimum 5 years of experience in the lead role in an organization in GCC.,
  • Preference will be given for candidates having experience in the Elevator industry/ MEP. works, subject to all other required key parameters are full filled.    
  • The candidates must be capable of handling contract affairs of company, operating areas in multiple jurisdiction.
  • Solid understanding of contractual terms and FIDIC is a must.
  • Strong understanding of the financial risk aspects of contracting.
  • Through knowledge of vendor management practices and industry trends
  • Knowledge of Country Law.

  • Ability to understand business functions and process.
