  • Strategic & Operational Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for realizing technical elements of creative projects while working with approved budgets.
  • Responsible for anticipating forecast for productions throughout the tender process.
  • Work alongside the venues Creative team and all productions to develop and deliver the technical aspects for the venue.
  • Manage, Oversee and report on all the technical systems and the physical build of all staging, scenic and prop items.
  • Consult with the Creative team on design development and implementation and build of design elements for ceremonies and venue programing.
  • Monitor the ceremonies Technical division budget and monitor, manage and report on the budget for the duration of the project.
  • Manage the venues Technical division staff in the delivery of their duties. Including but not limited to assigning work, monitoring performance, rewarding disciplining and overall employee engagement.
  • Supervise all administrative areas of the venues Technical Division as directed by the Senior VP.
  • Identify and monitor all resource requirements for the venue.
  • Be knowledgeable about the events divisional obligations and responsibilities for the provision of services to the venue.
  • Ensure technical integration with other divisions and the event.  
  • Manage the production and assembly of all technical schedules and documentation for the venue.
  • Oversee all the venues technical division communication channels, reporting protocols and responsibilities.
  • Assemble all technical design documentation, information and schedules required for the creation of all Technical division contracts for the supply, installation and operation of technical elements for the venue.
  • Manage all Technical team contractors and suppliers in the delivery of their services.
  • Oversee the technical staffing, set up and commissioning for technical rehearsals, performer rehearsals, at the venue.
  • Assist and contribute to budgeting, cost checking and scheduling related to the activities of the staging department.
  • Responsible for reviewing, managing and monitoring visiting productions working collaboratively with the in–house technical and operations team  
  • Create and adhere to risk management strategies in relation to the delivery of all division responsibilities.
  • Create and adhere to all occupational health and safety strategies in relation to the delivery of all division responsibilities. Ensure staff and contractors are aware and abide by occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Comply and respond to the events Procedural, administrational, and operational guidelines and instructions. 
  • Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organization.
  • Proactively support, and ensure that the Technical division supports sustainable sourcing code and the sustainability guidelines.
  • Other duties as required.

  Knowledge, Qualifications & Skills requiredEssential (must have to perform the role
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 15+years’ experience in Technical Management & major events
  • Significant experience with planning and delivery of large scale Ceremonies and shows
  • Knowledge of Mega Event operational planning and delivery
  • Significant experience in delivering large, complex programmes of work
  • A track record of leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams effectively
  • Ability to manage, direct and coordinate a wide range of people at differing levels of authority                
  • Ability to develop positive relationships among internal and external stakeholders, peers and senior management
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and ability to lead a team that supports several internal departments on key issues 
  • Displays the highest levels of integrity and commitment                        
  • Excellent negotiating, communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
  • Flexible,  resilient and positive  through organizational  growth and change

Desirable(advantageous )
  • Experience of working in the GCC region
  • Significant experience in technical systems, staging, SFX, rigging, projection & audio/ visual systems.
