The goal of this position is to grow the Market Share and volume of the business through implementing segmented Customer Value Propositions that meets the needs of profitable B2B and B2C segments and that maximize customer loyalty (retention and acquisition). This role is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and sales engagement activities in the Middle East, Northern Africa and Pakistan (MENAP) Custer to achieve the Volume and profitability targets. The role will be based in Dubai and will report to Marketing Manager MEA.



This role is seen as providing development potential to the candidate with opportunity for future, more senior positions within the regional sales and marketing organization.


 


Specific responsibilities include:
  • Develop Country Trade Marketing plan in line with the MENAP regional marketing strategy and business goals
  • Set Marketing Objectives and priorities in line with the overall business plans for the MENAP markets.
  • Drive the regional marketing priorities with differentiated CVP’s into assigned countries in support of business goals.
  • Conceptualize Trade, Consumer Promotions and BTL activations within country & drive their implementation as per agreed Calendar & measure KPI’s on Performance Dashboard
  • Ensure accelerated growth of retail distribution in markets with focus on achieving coverage, productivity and throughput targets.
  • Lead the marketing activation agencies to deploy as per brief to high quality implementation.
  • Own the results of all marketing activities deployed in country
  • Help identify and deliver growth opportunities within priority sectors, seeking ways to increase market share and profitability.
  • Drive "product + sales basics” training programs for Sales
  • Co-ordinate all local brand and communications activities in markets (e.g. campaigns, promotions, newsletters, OOH, Radio, Signage)
  • Contribute to the Regional Marketing team best practice sharing and new product / CVP development
  • Coordinate closely with distributor’s marketing teams to ensure local relevance and implementation quality, provide supervision and guidance.

 


 


Ideal Candidate Profile
In order to be successful in this role you will need to have or be:
  • Marketing implementation experience with evidence of successfully growing market share, volumes, profitability, product coverage, trials and offtake.
  • Experience of implementing CVPs with full local buy-in.
  • Broad experience of the marketing mix (e.g. market research, new product development, brand, pricing management, promotions).
  • Degree level education, Master’s degree in a relevant discipline would be preferred but is not essential subject to proven business experience.
  • Confidence with numbers and ability to identify what drives business results
  • A proactive and "ready to import and share good ideas” mindset
  • Minimum of 5+ years proven marketing experience in the lubricants, associated automotive / chemical business, consumer goods or any other distribution driven industry in the MENAP region.
  • Fluency in oral and written English is essential as are financial capabilities commensurate with this role, knowledge of Arabic is preferred.
  • Track record of providing innovative solutions to business challenges through "value" based differentiation
  • Demonstrated ability to develop / influence a high performance distributor sales team that are capable of delivering sustained sales results. This is essential to create an extension of the team winning culture.
