Regional Logistics Leader - MENATI & APAC
We are looking to recruit a Regional Logistics Leader for an international industrial service company and one of the world's largest oil field services companies.
Based in Dubai, the candidate will be tasked with overseeing all functions of the logistics process across the MENATI & APAC region.
This position manages the overall logistics operations and delivery teams for a specific geographical region(s) as part of the company's global logistics organization in the Oilfield Services product company. This role has direct reporting to the Director of Global Materials and Logistics and at the same time accountable to the Region Vice President for the overall logistics performance and impact to operations and business P&L.
This role is responsible for the following; organization development and staffing, process standardization, collaboration on process/operations with adjacent regions, other Supply Chain functions and operational teams with the region. Further responsibilities include; maintain, develop relationships and set performance expectations with 4PLs, carriers, Freight Forwarders and other service providers supporting logistics delivery operations.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management or Business
- 12+ years of experience in Logistics, Transportation or related field;
- 7+ years in people leadership positions in a regional or global role.
- Demonstrate history of engagement with various tiers of service providers in the transportation industry; carriers(road, air, ocean), Freight Forward, 3-4/PL service providers, brokers, etc.
- Strong experience with understanding of freight spend and the breakdown of components unique to various modes of transportation.
- Demonstrated history of managing teams across multiple countries and regions of the world that produced positive business impacts.
- Strong global leadership & influence skills that inspire trust, collaboration and operational excellence (7+ years)
- A proven track record of cost reduction/savings delivery and ability to manage complexity and change.
