General Manager - Aviation & Aerospace

Adecco is currently recruiting for an experienced General Manager / Regional Director for our client, a global manufacturing aerospace company based in Dubai. This exciting new position will give you full leadership and financial responsibility of the team and its operations across Middle East, Africa and India.  

This role is a full-time permanent placement based in Dubai. On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a global company who are responsible for aviation and aerospace component making. Job Summary: Reporting to the Global team in the USA, you will be a qualified Engineer in Aerospace/Aviation with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the field of maintenance, repair & overhaul products. You will be a seasoned sales professional, taking ownership, mentoring a team and driving success across the region.

Job Responsibilities:

·      Being a Team Player - Developing and mentoring the regional team to deliver excellence.

·      Understand the region extensively to develop new business opportunities. Knowing your competitors and being ahead of the game.

·      Results focused to find product solutions to existing and new clients.

·      Drive and engage a team to deliver sales and profit targets.

·      Explore, develop and not afraid to test new methods.

·      Report into the Global team with P&L and sales pipelines/forecasting.

·      Prepare and collaborate sales strategies across all regions.

·      Maintain effective and positive communication within the team, customers and clients.

·      Being innovative & creative in problem solving, before any problems arise.

·      Identify, drive and deliver operational excellence.

·      Build an encouraging, supportive and driven culture within the team.

The Successful Applicant must have:

·      Bachelor's Degree or Higher in Aviation or Aerospace Engineering.

·      15+ years' of technical experience in the field managing a large sales portfolio. (Airlines or Military experience are welcome to apply)

·      10+ years' experience working across Middle East / Africa or India.

·      5+ years management/supervision experience as a leader and mentor.

·      Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow and leave a legacy.

·      Commitment to driving sales excellence and meeting financial goals.

·      Excellent computer and strong analytical skills.

·      Strong versatile communication ability to negotiate at a high level.

·      Passion – to stretch yourself and the team.

·      Critical thinking ability to think outside the box and be solution focused.

·      Comfortable working extensively across the region and travelling to the US as required.
