Sales Account Manager

Adecco is currently recruiting for a Sales Manager for our client, a global chemical company with a focus on Oilfield chemicals. The primary function of the successful candidate is to increase sales and develop new business within Saudi Arabia and Middle Eastern regional markets.
This role is for a permanent placement based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a well-known company with an international presence with some travel required. This role is available due to an internal promotion.
Job Summary: You will be a qualified Engineer who is from a technical background and a strong communicator in the fields of Petroleum or Chemicals. With at least 5 years proven sales experience within Saudi you will be solution focused for your customers, driving sales and business opportunities.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Achieve the agreed Sales revenue requirements across Middle East & Africa
  • Provide and negotiate proposals and pricing for customers
  • Maintain effective communication with clients with a technical understanding
  • Grow existing accounts and a focus on new business opportunities
  • Support regional and global business key account management
  • Drive and support the regional team for growth and increased revenue
  • Collect and document market trends and insights
  • Coordinate field trials for oilfield chemicals and link between new business and product management

The Successful Applicant must have:
  • Bachelors Degree or Higher in Petroleum or Chemical Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of chemical sales experience – focusing on oilfield chemicals in Saudi Arabia
  • Self Drive – be motivated to close a sale
  • Confident influencing relationship skills to people of all levels
  • Excellent communication ability and with customer facing presenting experience
  • Sound Computer and strong analytical/forecasting skills.
  • Critical thinking ability to think outside the box and be solution focused
  • Proven experience in key account management
  • English Ability to a professional level – Fluent Arabic is a bonus
