This role is for a permanent placement based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Job Summary: As Manager of the Logistics Park, your role will involve overseeing the efficient operations and management of a logistics park or distribution center. You will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of logistics, including inventory management, transportation, storage, and distribution, to ensure seamless flow of goods and services.
Responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the logistics park, ensuring the smooth flow of goods, efficient storage, and timely distribution.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, monitor stock movements, and implement effective inventory control measures to minimize shortages and excesses.
- Transportation Coordination: Coordinate transportation of goods within the logistics park, including inbound and outbound shipments. Collaborate with carriers to optimize transport routes and minimize costs.
- Facility Maintenance: Ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of facilities, equipment, and storage spaces within the logistics park.
- Team Supervision: Lead and manage a team of warehouse staff, drivers, and logistics coordinators. Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control procedures to ensure that goods are handled, stored, and transported according to industry standards and regulations.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure working environment for employees and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Vendor Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other logistics partners to ensure smooth operations and favorable terms.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to logistics operations, inventory levels, transportation costs, and other key metrics. Use insights to make informed decisions and optimizations.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on key performance indicators, operational efficiency, and any issues affecting logistics park operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in logistics operations, with a proven track record of increasing responsibility.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution processes.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make timely decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
